Recertification Process
When your recertification falls due please provide evidence of
the following to the TCIA

BAI
- Hold a current Level II First Aid Qualification
- Instruct a minimum of 12 full day sessions (or equivalent
e.g. 24 1/2 day etc) over a two year period
- Pay $65 for 2 years membership
- Attend a TCIA workshop once every 4 years
TRA
- Hold a current Level II First Aid Qualification
- Instruct a minimum of 12 full day sessions over a two year
period (or equivalent)
- Lead climb 20 different routes of your own climbing. A
minimum of 10 of these should be traditional climbing conducted in a
variety of areas. No minimum grade is specified.
- Pay $65 for 2 years membership
- Attend a TCIA workshop once every 4 years
MPG
- Hold a current Level II First Aid Qualification
- Instruct a minimum of 12 full day sessions over a two year
period (or equivalent)
- Climb a minimum of 50 pitches at a variety of locations (at
least 25 of these should be traditional climbing). A minimum standard
of Grade 15 is required for all pitches.
- Pay $65 for 2 years membership
- Attend a TCIA workshop once every 4 years
